The overarching goals in this course include developing your understanding about
a broad range of tribal environmental issues, studying U.S. environmental policies
relevant to protecting tribes from pollutants, and learning about the health implications
of contaminated ecosystems. You will build critical awareness and thinking about
environmental problems.
Grading
To do well in this class, students must keep up with the reading, complete the writing assignments, participant and attend in class regularly.

Class Policies
Attendance will be taken everyday. You can miss 1 class without penalty. Class participation is mandatory.
Participation in class discussion is highly expected. You can prepare by staying up to date with reading, and attending classes.
No late homework will be accepted, but you can miss 1 *journal* or *questions* assignment. Assignments are due by the beginning of class and no latter. You must print out your own work, but I encourage you to keep your printing needs to a minimal as to save paper.
If you put toward a strong effort on the presentations, you’ll get full credit.
